Delish dinner

This past weekend at work sucked. There was much sadness and stress with the babies, but the one thing that made it better were the delicious dinners that Bill made for me.

Friday night I had an absolutely wonderful steak, that was cooked perfectly even after being reheated in the microwave.

Saturday night I had lobster tail! Yes, lobster tail. I'm not sure what brought it on, but it was very good.

Both nights dinners were accompanied by yummy salads with baby greens, cranberries, and nuts.

Thanks for making a bad weekend a little better honey.

Weekend/Hubby update

This was one of my long weekends that I work all night, and sleep 1/2 the day so I can go back to work again. I don't know what got into Bill but he deserves a big thumbs up for productivity this weekend. By my count (and it may be off) he did 2 to 3 loads of dishes, 4 loads of laundry (even put some of it away), made me 2 very thoughtful (and yummy dinners), took the girls to the park, to soccer, and to the store, and to top the weekend off he even brought them and Harrison to my hockey game. We lost 4 - 2 and I was -3 for the game (boo), but it was nice to have them all there. The people on my bench kept commenting on how cute they were and how nice it was to have my family there cheering for us. I agree.

Today sucks!

Plain and simple. I know it's barely started for most of you, but I was up till 5:00 this morning (long story I probably won't blog about), and was up again at 9:00. The good and bad of this is that I will be able to go back to bed when I get home from PT. Why is that good AND bad you ask? Good because I will get to sleep more. Bad, because the reason that I'm sleeping is due to the fact that I return to work tonight. Yep, after 4 long months off for my shoulder I go back tonight, and it really sucks.

These last 4 months have been great because I've really gotten a taste of what I had been missing. I was able to spend time with our little family all together, I had weekends, and I could relax.

Now, as far as jobs go, I do like mine so that eases the pain a little. So tonight, while you"re having that end of the week cocktail, and then later snuggling down into your cozy bed, think of me at hanging out at work all night long.

My girls are apparently gainfully employed, or were...

Today Sam and Riley put on their backpacks, came to the door of my office and said goodbye. I asked them where they were going and they said, "work". They then described how they were going to take the train to go to work with Daddy, then they headed off to the other room. Shortly they were back at the door to my office claiming that work was closed for the day so they couldn't go. I said, "That's ok, you can go tomorrow," to which they replied, "No, no more work." Oh, if only it were that easy.
