Woo hoo and boo hoo!

Woo hoo! I had my first red game tonight. I didn't fall and I sort of kept up. My legs were very jello like at the end. Main point? I had fun, and can't wait to do it again.

Boo hoo! Val got hurt and had to go to the ER, but she's better now. Back to playing like her old self.

Boogers for everyone!

It's not what you think. Sam was playing in her kitchen today, and made burgers for everyone. When they were done she marched around the house with a plate of them saying, "I have boogers for everyone. Come get your boogers."

This is a sampling of the comments I've received as a result of Andrea's blog entry .

Also, thanks to Hubby and everyone else who sent verbal congrats as well.

I'm so excited. So excited! Did I mention I'm excited?

I hate Mazda 3 drivers

With the exception of 1, I am beginning to strongly dislike Mazda3
drivers. In the last 5 days I have been cut off 3 different times by
someone driving a Mazda3. So please, if you drive one of these try
repairing your bad rep by driving nice. End of PSA.

I'm terrific!

Today Bill was singing a silly song with the girls and part of the lyrics he sang were, "I'm terrific."
The girls quickly said, "No. You not tiffic (terrific) Daddy."
Bill: I'm not?
The Girls: No. You're a boy.
And there you have it folks.

It's wakey time

This morning when I got home from work Sam was already awake and waiting at the gate for me. This is what transpired (the abridged edition).

Me: What are you doing Sam?
Sam: Waiting. It's wakey (wake up) time.
Me: Oh. I'm very tired. I worked all night and I'm ready to go to sleep.
Sam: No Mommy. It's wakey time. (Takes me by the hand and leads me to the window.) See? The sun is up. It's wakey time.
Me: and so it is.

After that I just couldn't go to sleep, so Sam and I sat and had a nice
one on one moment complete with conversation.

Carpool Lane Checks

This morning as I was getting on 101 from a carpool on-ramp I noticed a police officer standing by the metering light and thought it was kind of odd. He appeared to be checking vehicles, so I just thought he must be looking for a fugitive. Nope. He was looking for solo riders in the carpool lane. The guy 2 cars ahead of me did not have a rider with him, so the officer waved him over to the side of the road, then proceeded to walk across right in front of the other cars getting on the ramp and pulled out his ticket book as he approached the car he had waved over.
