Christmas tree update
Ok, we took down the tree last night, and all told we had 10 strings of lights on it, 3 of them being double strings. 4 of them were lit the entire season (2 of those were double strings, so it was really like having 6 lit.) 6 of them were left unlit after the popping-lights-go-dark incident. As it turns out, only one of them was bad - the very first string. Now we could probably just replace the fuse (thanks Jennie, I had no idea you could do that with Christmas lights) or we could take the easy route and throw out that string to be replaced next year. It's your guess as to which route we took.

I guess that you took the bad string and put it in the box with the others and then put that box in the garage of death. When next year comes around you wont be able to find that box or the one from last year and will go out and buy more lights. As for the lights circling the living room, you wont loose those, 'cuz they are going to stay up another year!! Huh? Pay up!
oh how i am dreading the taking down of the tree. not just cuz i love the tree, but man what a pain it is to untangle all those lights! good thing i get so much out of it being up for a month or so. =)
Yeah, this is the first year we've had it down early. And since I'm in charge of the lights this year they are being put away neatly, AND the ones rimming the ceiling have already been taken down. See photos on Flickr. Pay up Rich!
Did you get the christmas colored boxes to store everything?
Well call me Mr. Impressed!! Wow! OK. Ill pay up... and shut up.
what did sammi say when she woke up to find no tree?
and wow, i read "the ones rimming" as "the rimming ones." =O
i know, i don't know where i get these things either.
She keeps asking where it is - then her and Riley both answer that it went home. It's pretty cute. She's so concerned about it missing though.
You threw away a string of lights???
