Dinner Alternatives

Tried a new event tonight on two counts. The first was that I had the first date with my husband (no kids) since the girls were born. Yay us!

The second is that we went to 1DinnerSolutions event. It's a place where they do all the prep work (cleaning, chopping, etc.)and then we come in, follow a recipe to put together 40 dinners (10 meals that serve 4 people each.) It was actually quite fun. We had sort of tried some of their dinners before and weren't overly impressed, but the ones we did tonight seemed pretty good. Probably because we put them together ourselves, so we could add more of what we liked and leave off things we disliked. So now we have a freezer full of dinners (which are better than fast food or take out) and the memory of a relaxing evening out.

Really weird too - I ran into a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in almost a year. We were sitting at a table and in she strolled with another girlfriend of hers. It was nice to be able to chat and catch up.

We just may do it again in August.
