Ant invasion 2005

Ok, what is with the major ant invasion lately? We can't seem to keep them out of our house. They keep finding new and better ways to get in despite the fact that Bill has waged war on them both inside and out.

This morning they found a new way into the house under the kitchen sink and up through the deteriorating grout. A professor of Bill's once told him there were 3 ways to kill an ant:

1. Slow it's metabolic functions (starve it)
2. Denature its enzymes (poison it)
3 Reduce it's complexity (squash it)

I chose options 2 and 3 as #1 just wouldn't happen in this house. Just with the babies alone, there's too much food around to slow anyones metabolic functions. Then there's me and Bill.

Any other ideas on preventing the little pests from getting into the house would be greatly appreciated.
