Here a hair, there a hair, everywhere a hair hair
Ok dear readers, if you were a professional hair stylist what would you
do with my hair? Seriously. No mohawk, shave your head, etc.
suggestions please.

My two cents:
If you've been going to the same stylist for awhile and feel comfortable, I'd probably just tell the person that you're unsure of what you want - but make it clear that you *do* want something different - and leave it to them. If that isn't a good option, I recommend that you get it cut so that the ends just touch the tops of your shoulders, with longer layers. It will be short enough that it will feel different, but not so short that it will feel weird and uncomfortable (and you can still keep it in place with pontytail holders, etc.)
I'm thinking you need something to go with your wild side and my lame way of explaining it is something a little longish punky and spikey with lightened tips... or do what amy said above, I do that about every 6 months whether I need it or not
