24 hour goodness

Saturday morning I got off work (at 7:00 A.M.), and headed down to the lab to get my flu shot which the hospital is requiring us to have this year. What's so good about that you ask? Nothing. It's just how my 24 hours started. I'm getting to the goodness.

After the injection, I hopped in the car and headed home. Now usually when I get home I have to go potty, and this morning was no different. However, when I got to the bathroom Riley was standing outside the door looking in. I asked her if she had to go, and she said yes. This marks the 5th day in a row that she has worn regular underpants to bed and woken up dry. Definite goodness.

After we had both relieved our bladders we spent a little Mommy Daughter time together in the construction mode. I had purchased 3 new chairs (1 for each of the girls, and 1 for Val), so Riley helped me put them together. She was a great little helper, and we had some great conversation together.

Then Sam got up, and helped us finish the job, and get the chairs sized correctly (they are adjustable for each child.) I had a little snack with the girls, and then it was off to bed for me.

When I got up, I showered, snacked, and headed off to work as usual. What happened next was definitely not usual. Liz and Andrea had dinner at home. Liz sent me a message saying they were making brownies. I mentioned how yummy that sounded, and the next thing I know Liz, Andrea, and Val show up at work with a plate of very yummy carmel brownies. Super goodness. The other nurses I work with loved them too. You guys rock!

In addition, Bill did a great job with my dinners. Yum, yum.
