Getting an "A" in life. Woo hoo! Go me!

Thanks to Jennie I had to check my report card. I was pleasantly surprised.

Getting a C on body is just to prove that I should have Viv kicking my butt as I am one of those lazy, mushroom waisted, couch potatoes she so dislikes. (I do too actually, I just can't find my more athletic self these days.).

For all you people who believed you were so cool in Washington...

The square dance is the official dance of the state of Washington according to Snapple "Real Fact" #141. Heh, heh.

A duck can't walk without bobbing its head.

I've also heard it on good authority lately that you can't get butter from a duck.

Your prayers, good vibes, etc. needed for a little boy.

My friends, Helen and Steve, have been at the hospital all night long where their oldest son had to undergo surgery after a skiing accident. He broke the head off his femur, and now has pins holding it together. As this is an injury usually reserved for older people, and his second break this year, they will be running further tests on him. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts. This is a pretty scary time for them.

Friday Trivia

Did you know that the 3 Musketeers bar was so named, because it used to be made up of 3 smaller bars. One was vanilla, one was strawberry, and one was chocolate. Shortly after it's introduction they shifted to the single bar in the chocolate flavor.

Just a little something to ponder on the commute home in the rain.

A trip down memory lane.

I was just looking at photos last night, and ran across this old video of the girls from when they were about a month and a half old. Not really exciting for most, but the constant movement of Sam and the baby noises really brought back some memories

Pajama Day Rules!!

The girls have joined in. They're hangin' in their pajamas, eating Cheerios, and having a generally good time.

Me? I've been somewhat productive despite it being the official day of the pajama. Laundry and dishes have nothin' on me.

Plans to rejoin the real world are no where to be seen. If you haven't heard from me in a week send a search party with masks and bottles of disinfectant. ;)

Let this be my official notice.

1. I am NOT happy. Blogger MADE me upgrade today. I don't like leaving my old sign in. I don't like needing a new email account to manage just so I can sign in. I do not like green eggs and ham.

2. I am not getting dressed tomorrow (or today or yesterday depending on when you read this.) For me, tomorrow refers to Thursday, February 8th, 2007. It is officially pajama day.

Doggies don't pet monkeys.

Really folks. I have it on the authority of 2 experts (with combined total of 5 years experience) in the field. Professors Riley Roo dogster and Sam-a-lam Bingbong Mon-kay have been studying this phemonenom and have come to the conclusion that a dog would never pet a monkey, but a monkey may pet a doggie very gently.

Visitors from afar

This week our old friends Rich and Angelica along with their 5 month old son, Luis have come to visit from Germany. The girls have had good training with Val and are quiet enthused with another baby. At first they called him Baby Val, but soon realized he had a name too, Baby Luis.

The girls were quiet thrilled with the chocolate cell phones they received and made short work of them. Now they're dying to get into the Play-Doh.

Welcome back old friends, if even for a brief period.

I too put up this picture...

I too had a really cute pic of the girls bathing but had to pull it after getting too many hits on it overnight. I wouldn't have even thought to look if Liz hadn't had the same thing happen. The long and short is that if you are a friend or family you can see it (it's not at all x-rated). Let me know if you, my friends and family, cannot see it.

As I was scanning my Flickr account tonight...

I decided to check my most viewed photos. This one came in at #9 with 195 views (This is it's second appearance in my blog.) Sing on my friend.

I like my old ways...

So sad. Today I checked my Flickr messages and was greeted with this.

Update for Old Skool members

Dear Old Skool Account-Holding Flickr Member,

On March 15th we'll be discontinuing the old email-based Flickr sign in system. From that point on, everyone will have to use a Yahoo! ID to sign in to Flickr. We're making this change now to simplify the sign in process in advance of several large projects launching this year, but some Flickr features and tools already require Yahoo! IDs for sign in -- like the mobile site at m.flickr.com or the new Yahoo! Go program for mobiles, available at Yahoo! Go. 95% of your fellow Flickrites already use this system and their experience is just the same as yours is now, except they sign in on a different page. It's easy to switch: it takes about a minute if you already have a Yahoo! ID and about five minutes if you don't. You can make the switch at any time in the next few months, from today till the 15th. (After that day, you'll be required to merge before you continue using your account.) To switch, go to Merge a Flickr and Yahoo! account. Nothing else on your account or experience of Flickr changes: you can continue to have your FlickrMail and notifications sent to any email address at any domain and your screenname will remain the same. Complete details and answers to most common questions are in our FAQ: Yahoo! IDs, signing in and screen names. Thanks for your patience and understanding - and even bigger thanks for your continued support of Flickr: if you're reading this, you've been around for a while and that means a lot to us!

Warmest regards,
- The Flickreenos

I am going to miss my Old Skool sign in. However, being the stubborn person that I am (I know you're all shocked by this news) I am waiting till the very last second of the very last day to make the change. I shall revel in my Old Skool ways until then. See ya newbies on the other side.

Cheerios and butter, not just for breakfast anymore.

Yesterday I thought I might get some time on the computer while the girls played nearby. Silly me. They were talking to me, reading their books in the doorway to my room, and playing with some small toys on and off. All was well and good until I realized they were no longer sitting there, hadn't been for a while, and the house was ominously quiet. Off I went to find them and what I found was not a pretty sight.

Someone had left the gate open to the kitchen and the girls had found this out. What I found was a kitchen floor and dining room floor covered in butter and cheerios. Riley also thought it would make a great body moisturizer and art. Sam mostly just ate the cheerios which made her cleanup a lot easier, but they both needed a bath which leads to another story I'll post later.
